Question
Was there a spark that kindled your interest before you ever seriously considered being a Web Designer?
Answer
I'm starting off recently as a web designer learning newer scripting, and or otherwise, language for the web. What I like about this is that I can do this job anywhere. While designing is not my main strengths I can still do this having a prior experience creating websites.
I realize that web design is just as important as coding a website. It's the first thing you'll need to do before you add the technical features. The design doesn't have to be THAT fancy at first but functional and use able for the target audience. First the basic design, then the programming, then improve the design further.
Knowledge with HTML going to XHTML, CSS, and designing basics..One can learn that from studying book layouting or from Robin Williams' Non-designer book series.
Graduating from college I never had a decent IT job and web development/designing is the closest I got from it. My ideal job was programming but life as it is I gave me the closest thing.
Since I started with web developing with basic PHP as in to convert templates to working webpages. Later on it became apparent that I need to learn how to design a website since this is what people will see before they even try to mess with it's functions.
