Question
Was there a spark that kindled your interest before you ever seriously considered being a Financial Analyst?
Answer
I loved the fact that I was in a job that I was GOOD at, but that wasn't enough. Working in finance was not the job that fulfilled my purpose...and because there was a huge gap between my purpose and my profession, I would leave work feeling dissatisfied. The long hours and stressful environment didn't help, either!
Networking was most essential for me. I spoke to alums from my alma mater, and asked questions about the positions I was interested in.
Having an analytical mind is helpful, and also having strong math skills.
Michelle hasn't responded yet. Nudge them to let them know you're interested in what they have to say.
I tried finance out because I was good with numbers, essentially! I never felt a "spark" so to speak, but knew that I could excel in the environment.
