Careers For ESFJ Personalities

Extraversion, sensing, feeling, and judgment are the four words that make up ESFJ - one of the 16 psychological types that are used in the publications of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. ESFJs account for about twelve percent of the population. They take pleasure in other people's happiness, and give generously, but expect appreciation in return. They are expert people readers, and often adapt their manner to meet the expectations of others.

In the workplace, ESFJs need human interaction and emotional feedback to be truly satisfied in what they do; they need to feel appreciated and know they've helped someone. They are well-organized and bring a certain order and practicality to their tasks. They work best in environments with a well-defined management structure and are comfortable with authority. Daily monotony and routine work are not a challenge for the ESFJ personality type, as they are happy to do whatever needs to be done.
